If it shouldn't be posted to both . . . Sorry. Recently my Amiga began flashing a BLUE (sometimes red) screen before the Workbench prompt after a cold boot. I have read somewhere (I think here) that this is the result of an automatic self-test that is performed every time you boot. Along with this the article states that RED means BAD ROM and BLUE means BAD CUSTOM CHIPS. :-( My system still works, but seems to GURU more often now. Does anyone know if this is a self-test problem or if it is something else? My system configuration is an Amiga 500, A501, and an A1020 5 1/4" drive. Could any of this be causing the colors ? L.
