Under SR9.7, With the exception of the hang-up bug (below), I have found that vi and the emulator work fine the way I use them: I either use vi in a raw DM window, or I always use the -STD option to VT100 and make sure the window is large enough. The "hang-up" bug that I know of is this: you can't icon a window in which vi, more, or any other screen oriented/curses type program is running, or else another invocation of any other of those programs will hang. Simply un-icon to turn things loose. Ugly, but workaroudable. Apollo told me soon after we installed SR9.5 (I think that was where they broke it -- about a year ago) that it was a "known problem."
