The 8mm tape drive can be ordered without OmniBack. This cuts off about $ 2000 from the list price. I was told by an Apollo technical representative with the local sales office that rwmt/wbak/rbak are supported. The literature does say SR10.1 is required. We are planning to order the tape drive without OmniBack, since we will only be backing up one ring net. The list price for the drive and expansion box (required) is $ 7500.
