Whenever I attempt to unpack a shell archive by typing sh filename, I get an error that says unexpected 'end_of_file' at line xxxx Has anyone else experienced this problem ?? These shell archives are just standard SYSV stuff, and I can't see any syntax problems with them. I have never successfully unpacked an archive on our workstations. One other question : When I use the make utility under SYSV , I always get an error that says separator expected on rules line xxx. There is nothing wrong with the makefile as far as I can tell. Could someone who knows what is causing these problems please send me a solution ? S. Berger
