More specifically, has anyone brought up Kermit successfully on a DN 10000 running BSD 4.3 under SR 10.0.p ? I built C-Kermit V4C (circa 1985) on the DN 10000, but the machine and program did not get along at all. We really need a Kermit based com program that allows file transfers for remote users and will let us dial out from the DN 10000. In case you don't know, the UNIX tip utility was compiled for the wrong target in SR 10.0.p, but this will be fixed in the next release. Getting back to Kermit, it would also be very nice if someone could incorporate the vt100 and 3270 emulators. I have recently discovered that there was a typo in the source for the tty03 driver on the DN 10000 with SR 10.0.p . I was told that this was a high priority item with the com support people and R&D, so a patch should be available soon.
