Here is a little help for others: I tried both Kermit 3.81 and then 3.84, they both worked equally well. I had to use the Microtek driver instead of the super-serial driver (the Laser128 is supposed to emulate the //c super-serial card, but I believe it may not be able to handle the interupts so you have to go to the Microtek driver) File transfers work great. VT100 emulation otherwise, it loses 1-5 characters at the begining of each new line (fixable by telling the mainframe to add line-feed delays) The cursor control has problems. However, I seemed to do fine with vi when I was on a UNIX box with it. I am going to use it to download Z-Link and ATP (once I get ahold of BLU, where is it located?) If one of those handles the emulation better I will sing loud praises as that is what I really need. (also, i will probably let them know praises in a more financial way as well :-) ) By the way I am at 1200 baud. Any one who wants more info send me some e-mail or reply here. Anyone with some information on the problems I am having please do the same. +=======================================================================+ |Scott Hinckley - OCS User Assistant AKA - Galaxy's End | |Georgia Insitute of Technology, Atlanta Georgia, 30332 | |uucp: ...!gatech!pyr!ccasths USnail: 345 Peachtree Pl NW | |ARPA: ccasths@pyr.gatech.edu Atlanta, Ga. 30318 | | I reply to ALL E-Mail | +=======================================================================+
