Gee, the TWGS will never work?  I've had mine installed for about a month now
I guess and have had no problems at all with it.  It speeds stuff up (8-bit &
16-bit) anywhere from 2x to 2.8x in my testing.  Totally transparent to
software though you have to set TIC's timing constant to 28 (from a usual 10)
to make the timing work right for xmodem loops etc.
