This program converts a binary file into a text file so that is can be mailed over bitnet and other networks. Uuencode and uudecode are two programs found on unix machines that do the same thing. But, each can only be executed on its own machine. They are also not compatible, that is the text created by uuencode cannot be translated into a binary file by BinHex and visa versa.
