Gee, asking about when Atari started making computers, and the
history is a tall order indeed. The best place to get more
information, is through back copies of either Antic or Analog, and
perhaps, if you have some time before your speech, you might want
to contact Atari Customer Services, and they might be able to help
you on some points, if you tell them what you are doing. It also
seems like something you could do a term paper on.
