Long) Distribution: na Organization: Air Force Institute of Technology; WPAFB, OH Lines: 27 References: Does any kind soul out there have a 20Meg hard disk that they would be willing to swap for a Gemini-10X printer? I made a similar swap a while ago to get a drive mech as the basis for a homebrew harddrive system but after spending all of my money on the case, pwr supply, host adaptor, Adaptec controller and misc junk, it turned out that the drive I was trading for was bad! Now I have everything I need but the drive mech itself and am I dissapointed! Anyway, I have a Gemini-10X printer (good, solid basic printer, Epson compatible but doesn't have a dedicated NLQ mode) which is perfect for fast drafts of programs and stuff. It uses easy to get (and cheap) typewriter ribbon and is a very nice little printer. I want to trade it for at least a 20Meg hard disk mechanism (can be full height). If no one has a 20Meg or bigger that they want to trade, how about "donating" that 10Meg unit that you've got sitting around since you upgraded to a larger drive? I'll pay shipping costs for the printer, and if someone wants to donate their 10Meg unit, I'll pay to ship it! Please help me, I'm sure you can all sympathize with someone who came home today thinking I was going to have my long awaited hard disk tonight only to have my hopes dashed to the ground! ========================================================================= | Jeff Long jlong@blackbird.afit.af.mil (ARPA net) | | | | humble (and getting humbler by the day) graduate student; | | The Air Force Institute of Techology (what a great way of life??) | =========================================================================
