Atari's Megafile, Supra's, ICD's, Astra's, etc. ??? My Supra 30 Meg drive developed a very annoying noise after about a year of use. I called Supra customer support, described the problem, and was told that my problem was probably due to the spindle brush and that I should place a piece of tape over the brush. They then described over the phone how to disassemble enough of the drive to get at the brush. I carried out their instructions and the noise disappeared and the drive is again relatively quiet. Total time to carry out this procedure: under 15 minutes. I suggest that you call them to see if your problem is similar. I will add my praise to Supra's customer support---they're super! Please keep up the good work. ================================================== | Michael Fischer | | Arpanet: | | Bitnet: | | UUCP: | ==================================================
