It can't format more than 80 tracks because of its design, not a problem with the drive itself. I've also seen the Epson SMD-480 mech in there. I believe that Sony makes the drive for Epson, so don't be surprised if you open the computer and find Epson's name all over the drive. =cf= BTW, the Sony drive is a workhorse, and you shouldn't have any problems with it for a LONG time! ------------------------------ Date: 3 Apr 89 20:01:36 GMT From: rochester!rit!ultb!clf3678@cu-arpa.cs.cornell.edu (C.L. Since I'm stupid and don't know how to add others messages into my own, I'll answer what I remember. First off, WordPerfect is not protected, so you can put the 6 SS disks onto 3 DS disks. If you put the master and speller on one disk, then you're all set. After setting up your printer list (which is a real pain if you only have one floppy---constant swapping), this will be the only disk you will use. I haven't touched the other two disks in months. As for PostScript, WordPerfect supports different laser printers. However, I don't think it supports PostScript (yet). The latest version was mostly a re-write of the entire printer code. I'll check the README file that came on the new disk and see what it says. =cf= ------------------------------ Date: 3 Apr 89 17:35:48 GMT From: ns!logajan@umn-cs.arpa (John Logajan) Subject: Uniterm "e" problem? To: info-atari16@score.stanford.edu I just downloaded the "e" version of Uniterm and I noticed that it won't let me "cancel" a call by hitting a key. Rather, it instantly redials. They only way out of the loop is to reboot the system. What am I doing wrong??? -- - John M.
