Lines: 17 I just got back from Comdex. It's hard to separate what I actually heard/saw from what I wished (except that Moniterm Viking monitors are definitely real and beautiful). My impression was that TOS 1.4 is considered ready, and *some* ROM-s are being delivered to Atari. My impression was that everyone who should have known for sure considered the 16 MB limit on disk partition size a dead issue (but the explanations varied). My impression was that the new guy in charge of Atari software (is Antonio Salerno the right name?) means to put things in better shape, starting NOW and continuing for as long as it takes----and is tough enough to have a chance of doing it. The PC4, STACY and the Portfolio were spoken of as if the engineering on them was done, and production was imminent. The TT was not on display, but the talk about it was along the lines of "it'll be wonderful, and not so far in the future either, but we're displaying the things we'll be selling first". All in all, a very promising show. If the 2 lightweights and the PC4 actually get introduced before the next Comdex, and Megas are shipping with TOS 1.4, maybe we'll be able to say Atari promised a lot and delivered on it. Steve J.
