Summary: WP seems inclined to like us Message-ID: <8207@chinet.chi.il.us> Date: 12 Apr 89 15:39:36 GMT References: <1989Apr11.093338.14413@gpu.utcs.utoronto.ca> Organization: Chinet - Chicago, Ill. Lines: 13 The article this is a follow-up to asks people to request that WordPerfect continue Atari support. I think that's what they want to do already. There is a WordPerfect display in the Atari booth at the present Comdex. The WP representative seems enthusiastic. If there are ever enough TOS machines out there to make it an attractive market, I suspect WP will be back fast. In particular, I think they realize that slow sales are due to the small user base and intense competition, rather than theft of software. An aside: when I looked, WP seemed to have some problems running in the configuration displayed (latest TOS 1.4, which people seemed to believe was the production version; MEGA 4). If it's running smoothly on Thursday, that should be evidence of continuing support. Steve J.
