Calhoun) Organization: Kansas State University, Dept of Computing & Information Sciences Lines: 16 Regarding the 1541 "save with replace" bug: I recently (within the last two weeks) posted a summary of the bug, who discovered it, how to never have it, etc. If necessary, I could consult my sources and repost. Basically, IF you EVER use save-with-replace, you must EITHER: (a) ALWAYS use drive number 0 in EVERY disk operation or (b) ALWAYS reset the drive before every save-with-replace. You may also avoid the problem entirely by scratching and then saving. Or you can get around the whole problem by writing a better wedge or a little BASIC code that implements one of the above solutions. -- Myron A.
