Lines: 17 We have two DEC Server 200/MCs that I am trying to make work with non-DEC modems. I would like to access them though our 8700 running VMS v4.7a soon to run v5.1. Having the for dial up works fine, but the dial-out is the problem. For some reason, about every 30 seconds, the DS200 is toggling the modem status lines, including DTR. This normally causes the modem to hangup. When I configure the modems to ignore DTR, they sometimes are able to successfully dial out, but often get hosed up requiring a reset. Ideally, I would like to be able to have 2400/1200 dial in/out capability. Short of buying DEC-modems, does anyone have any suggestions?
