Keywords: modem/accel info. Message-ID: <189@fryepro.UUCP> Date: 3 Apr 89 14:53:01 GMT Reply-To: mikel@fryepro.UUCP (Michael Lang) Distribution: usa Organization: Frye Electronics, Inc. Tigard, Oregon Lines: 22 I recently purchased a used 1200 baud internal 1/2 card modem, at a computer swap meet. It works very reliably, but there was no documentation with it. Could someone tell me some basic info about it, such as what the 6 DIP switches on the back of it configure. Also any useful features that this modem has to offer. Here is the make and model as printed on the card: OMNITEL T1200 -PC2 REV B My next question is about pc accelerator cards. I know that its possible to plug a 386 accelerator into a 286 system and run a 386 OS such as Xenix on it. Is it possible to plug a 286 (or 386) accelerator card into an 8088 system and run a 286 version of Xenix. I have never heard of it being done, but out of curiosity had to ask. Thanks in advance for the information. Michael Lang -- ...tektronix!percival!fryepro!mikel ...tektronix!percival!mikel
