I would check which com port you are using your modem on. From what I understand, Procomm does not allow binary transfers when on com port 3. Why, I don't know. I heard this from my brother who has much more experience with these things than I do. He switches to another comm software to do transfers from UNIX machines. I think he uses a program called MIRROR. He also uses QMODEM but I'm not sure if he can transfer with this software or not.
