(Drive resets at boot many times) Message-ID: <137@jma.UUCP> Date: 7 Apr 89 02:28:06 GMT Lines: 15 I am using an IBM-AT with Intel's Inboard 386/AT using an Adaptec ESDI controller with a 380 M Priam drive. I also have 1 1.2 M floppy and a 740K 3.5 inch floppy. When I boot, the standard boot sequence progresses, i.e. the 5 1/4 floppy is scanned, followed by the 3.5 inch, finally the Priam is scanned and it sounds like it is rezeroed about 10 times before the boot sequence proceeds and succeeds. I don't think this trauma could be good for the life of the drive. Any body got any ideas? Thanx in advance. -- Max Heffler uucp: ..!uunet!jma!max Landmark Graphics Corp. phone: (713) 579-4751 333 Cypress Run, Suite 100 Houston, Texas 77094
