Every year we hear about how UNIX is going to take over the world, next year. And MS-DOS, OS/2 (fill in your favorite/hated OS) will be dead. BUT we've been hearing this every year for the last 5 years. I wonder what that means. Of course we've also been hearing, for the last 3 years, about how the MAC will obsolete everything. Now its NeXT. But UNIX will obsolete them all NEXT YEAR, of course. I wonder what this all means. May be I should pay more attention to the guy down town carrying the "World will end tomarrow" sign.
