I think my question about "2-pass letter-quality mode" in the EPSON
emulation of the HP DeskJet printer was misunderstood...

Of course, if I were just dumping ascii characters to the printer, 
letter-quality would be automatic, since the printer would use its
built-in fonts.

However, the word processor that I'm using does not use the built-in
fonts, and instead prints everything in graphics mode, using the 
EPSON "2-pass letter-quality mode".

Hence my question about whether or not this mode is supported by the 
DeskJet with an EPSON emulation cartridge.
