Of course, if I were just dumping ascii characters to the printer, letter-quality would be automatic, since the printer would use its built-in fonts. However, the word processor that I'm using does not use the built-in fonts, and instead prints everything in graphics mode, using the EPSON "2-pass letter-quality mode". Hence my question about whether or not this mode is supported by the DeskJet with an EPSON emulation cartridge. Thanks, Eric Terrell
