It was written by a well-known programmer as a hack for a friend and was never intended to get out to the real world (hence no About box, etc.). Once it did get it, the author choose to let it go so others could benefit from it, but since the DA did not live up to his personal standards he didn't bother retracting it for a newer version or one with an About Box. But to answer the questions quickly again - feel free to put it on your machines and enjoy it.
