It would boot and run for hours or run for 30 seconds. Sometimes a sad mac came up with random codes in it. Finally in desparation I banged once on the top of the box. Then I noticed that the date was set to the year 1935. I fixed the date and I haven't had a crash for several days now. I had the problem under system 6.0.2 as well as an earlier version. Has anyone else had a similar problem or has a theory why a 1935 date would cause problems? -- Mark Probert probert@aviary.gm.hac.com
