Message-ID: <2194@mace.cc.purdue.edu> Date: 12 Apr 89 14:30:25 GMT Reply-To: ajq@mace.cc.purdue.edu (John O'Malley) Distribution: usa Organization: Purdue University Computing Center Lines: 16 We've got AppleShare running as a file server and printer spooler on a Mac II with 4 megs RAM and a 40 meg internal HD. The machine serves a public lab on campus. Although student staff members do have accounts, the server is used mostly for printer spooling to two LaserWriter IINTs. A question for those of you doing similar things in a university setting: Does AppleShare really use all 4 megs of RAM? Or could I downgrade to 2 megs without suffering a slowdown?
