We bought the drive and board for the sun from TTi (Transitional Technology Inc). We are running SunOS 3.2. I reconfigured the kernal to what they specified in the manual and rebooted the sun with no problem (I had not placed the SCSI adapter board in yet). I took out the existing board in slot 7 of the Sun and placed the TTi board in (which is actually a Ciprico Rimfire 3500 board). I made sure that I had the tape drive on and plugged into the new board in case it had to test the status of the drive when booting. I then tried to reboot the system, and it gets to the point of printing "Auto-Boot in progress" and then just hangs there forever. If anyone has any experience with a Ciprico board or installing Exabyte drives, I would appreciate your suggestions. Mike Begeman Software Engineer begeman@mcoiarc P.S. I have called TTi many times and they have been of very little help and have never installed this drive in a Sun 4.
