Obvious changes to Beebe's dvijet driver produce code that prints slowly but correctly. It's not that slow---a few minutes per page. When I start using the run-length compression that the printer supports, I expect the speed to roughly double (maybe a minute per page). The new version of the deskjet is said to be up to 5 times as fast as the old version for graphics (which means TeX output). If I really get picky, I might fuss with the fonts. Very heavy strokes seem to come out a little {\em too} thick. Peter
