If I do a direct connect to the modem i.e. I don't allow tip to do any dialing...It works. But if I let tip do the dialing using something like... tip -2400 18005551212 as soon as the I hear a ring on the line my modem hangs up. UUCP does the same thing. What stupid thing did I leave out?
