Libove) Newsgroups: comp.unix.wizards Subject: Using SCCS for a tree Keywords: SCCS,tree Message-ID: <239@libove.UUCP> Date: 10 Apr 89 14:07:41 GMT Organization: Libove.UUCP Lines: 24 Does anyone have a trick that will allow SCCS to control a tree of sources, where the same file name may appear more than once? e.g. the tree /usr/vision/Makefile /usr/vision/{lots of other files} /usr/vision/machine1/Makefile /usr/vision/machine2/Makefile SCCS tries to rip of leading pathnames and store every file in a single level of SCCS control information with just the final piece of the filename, so it complains when I try to "sccs enter" a file name that already exists _elsewhere_ in the controlled tree.
