Nope, inews does this for you, so none of the individual news readers or posters need to know how (or bother getting it right). If your GNUS can post to a non-moderated newsgroup, and if your news system correctly arranges for a posting to be mailed to a moderator when you use rn, then it will get it right for GNUS, too.
