I'm relatively new to newsgroups, but I've got a pressing need to
discuss the implications, moral and not so, of working for the
American military complex.  (Job opportunities coming up . . .)

I realize that this is not the place for such a discussion.  What
I want to ask here is the meta-question: Where SHOULD i ask for 
such a debate?  More generally, is there anywhere a listing of
something like the statements of purpose for the newsgroups?

If I understand net ettiquette, answers should be e-mailed to me
direct.  Of course, if any of you want to address the question
instead of or in addition to the meta-question, you're more than
welcome to.  If I get any expressions of interest in such a 
discussion, I'll post a message saying where I'll be taking it.
