It utilizes the latest VLSI-CMOS technology and a moderately parallel architecture to deliver high general-purpose supercomputer performance. The technology provides extremely fast scalar speeds and performs numerous functions in parallel, thus allowing existing non- vectorizable software to perform at supercomputer speeds. Important features include: - Two to eight processor clusters of 16 computational units each - Memory sizes from 256MB to 2GB globally shared - Maximum execution rates from 320 MFLOPS to 1280 MFLOPS -- Jim Clarke -- Dept. of Computer Science, Univ. of Toronto, Canada M5S 1A4 (416) 978-4058 clarke@csri.toronto.edu or clarke@csri.utoronto.ca or ...!{uunet, pyramid, watmath, ubc-cs}!utai!utcsri!clarke
