Revenue Canada, Taxation officials will make a decision as to whether to accept or deny a particular claim, and assess or reassess accordingly. But taxpayers may appeal to the Tax Court of Canada, which allows informal procedures and does not require you to have a lawyer. Of course, you do have to make a valid legal argument for your claim.
