Message-ID: <8904181553.AA29421@rodan.acs.syr.edu> Date: 18 Apr 89 16:53:10 GMT Sender: daemon@ucbvax.BERKELEY.EDU Lines: 22 When I want a big file from SIMTEL20, I sometimes have to try 10 or 15 times before I get the whole thing. The connection goes idle for 5 or 10 minutes, the file I'm receiving never gets any bigger, and I finally just kill the transfer and try again. ftp> get gawk210.arc 200 Port 11.214 at host 128.230.1.55 accepted. 150 Retrieve of PD1:GAWK210.ARC.1 started. ^C 451 ? Should I wait longer before I kill the ftp job? Any other ideas?
