I had a big problem with Telix Z-modem downloads, too.  They would keep getting
TIMEOUT errors that would abort the download.  A friend of mine suggested using
'sz -w 1024 filename[s]' at the UNIX end and I haven't had a single problem
since.  Wonder why -w 1024 isn't the default.
