There have been various projects taking place at universities and businesses in the area of group-ware. That is to say, software that allows a group of people to interact electronically. Some of the studies have shown that this can be a very effective was to create new ideas and exchange information. Of course there are the issues of who types what where and when, but some of the solutions have been very creative. Locking of changing sentences or paragraphs have been one approach tried.
