It appears that with emacstool installed, regions are highlighted by merely bouncing the cursor between mark and point (the culprit appears to be the function indicate-region, defined in sun-fns.el). I would like to allow regions to be highlighted in a user-specified manner, (possibly via a minor mode indicating inverse video, underlining, etc., as in zmacs). I am therefore interested in pointers to (or copies of) existing implementations of this or something similar. Otherwise, I would be grateful for suggestions on how it can be most easily done.
