I'm running SunOS 3.2 with sendmail 4.1 (?) and smail2.5. I modified /usr/lib/uucp/paths to accomodate (I hope) the domain as follows: .acs.com %s 0 alembic %s 0 alembic.acs.com %s 0 I rebuilt smail after modifying defs.h to accomodate the domain name and tried using the sendmail.cf built by smail. This resulted in an infinite loop of smail -> sendmail -> smail ->... until the process table overflowed and I had to reboot. I replaced the smail-generated sendmail.cf with the one I'd been using before, but with Dj$w.UUCP changed to Dj$w.ACS.COM. Same result, infinite loop. At each iteration through the loop, it appears that smail delivers the message, but also hands it off to sendmail which repeats the process, so I get a huge number of messages, each with an additional "Received: from alembic.acs.com..." header line. Can anyone out there suggest a fix for this problem? -- Dave Mack inco!mack@uunet.uu.net
