In this context I want to mention my colleague Rassul Ayani's PhD thesis
"Parallel Simulation on Shared Memory Multiprocessors", TRITA-TCS-8903,
Dept. of Telecommunication and Computer Systems, The Royal Institute of
Technology, May 1989. It's just printed and will be defended in the
beginning of May. Rassul has developed a method to determine moving time
windows, where for each simulated object the events in its time window
surely can be executed in parallel with the events in the other objects time
windows.
