Lines: 11 I need to get "raw bits" into a Sun workstation which are presented in unencapsulated, unframed, un-CRCd synchronous RS-232 form at 20,000 or 40,000 bits/second. The Zilog chips in the Sun CPU ports and SunLink MCP boards won't do this - they want SDLC, monosync or bisync frames. There's nothing in the Black Box catalog which will convert this bare synchronous data to asynchronous either. Can anyone suggest a VME board that can get this data in? (There is framing and CRC information in the data stream, but it's in a form chosen by NASA and probably unique to the satellite that originates the data.) ________________________________________________________ Matt Crawford +1 312 702 8207 matt@oddjob.uchicago.edu
