Yours would appear to be a pirated beta test version (sorry if you have
it legitimately, but I don't remember your site being on our beta test
list, and I'm sure I never received any beta reports from you).  It is
an old version.  I don't recall that as being a known problem --
testers did lots and lots of FTP file transfers without running out of
memory.  It might be a compatibility problem with a particular FTP
implementation, or it might be a problem that was found and fixed in
later versions.  (That version is almost a year old and I don't
remember every single bug I fixed.  And I left my file of Engineering
Problem Reports at the company when I left.)

In any case, why not call TOPS and ask about availability?  If you find
anything out, please send it to this list/group.
