Our network consists of a Vax-cluster with a 8350 (2 cpus) and a 8600. We have over 200 DEC PRO 350s as end nodes distributed across the campus. Students access the VAX 8350 using Remote terminal software ( similar to SET HOST) on PROs. Even though, students logout we see multiple links with a zero pid (00000000) when we give NCP> SHOW KNOWN LINKS command on the VAX. We explained the problem to DEC Colorado support center. So far they have not come up with any explanation or solution. To make the links disapper we shut down the Decnet on the VAX and bring it up again from time to time.
