I've been looking at software marketing and distribution from the "other" end, some 25+ years of mainframe and mini background. In that arena, it's not unusual for a single copy of a software system to be licensed for $500K; definitely NOT the high-volume consumer marketplace! :-) As has been made recently clear, it's going to require an "attitude adjustment" (on my part) to enter the high-volume marketplace with new product.
