I know I'm doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what. I'm finaly getting around to trying out different interleave values on my Seagate 277n drivee. I've previously had the drive installed in an external hooked up to a 1000 using the Cltd SCSI controller. With that controller, an interleave of 2 gave the best results. Now, I've got a 2500 with A2090a controller and I want to see if I can get better speeds by using a different interleave. The problem is that I'm getting just about the same speeds from Diskperf no matter what interleave I use. I've been following the same procedure each time: 1. Change the interleave in the mountlist 2. reboot the computer and mount the drive 3. Prep the first partition and reboot 4. Format the drive FFS and run diskperf V3.0 5. Shake my head as I get the same results.... There must be something that I'm doing wrong, but I don't know what. If anyone has any idea of what I'm doing wrong, please send HELP! Also if anyone knows what the best speeds are with a St277n drive and the 2090a controller please send me those. Thanks. Shawn Hayes
