I tried Steve Vermeulen's suggestion about not running FastMemFirst, and indeed it works. In my 2-meg 2000 I can now work with a 2448x3206, 2-color bitmap, which allows dot by dot editing of an 8 1/2 x 11 page at 300 dpi on the LaserJetII. In fact, I'm running it right now in the background! There...see? Even have 300k to spare! Express Paint 3.0 really is a wonderful tool for taking full control of the page at your printer's highest resolution. In fact, I can't think of any other program that will let me do that at 300 dpi on the LaserJet. Again, I appreciate the quick responses. Ned Schultz nschultz@polyslo.calpoly.edu
