it's a simple question, but can it be answered?

seeing that most everyone has some problem 
with AmigaDos/Intuition, has anyone tried
to completely re-write it?  would it be 
humanly possible to do so?  i know i've got
some wonderous ideas running around in my 
head.  any suggestions, comments, other...
