Keywords: Amiga, Virus, Link Message-ID: <264@vuecon.econ.vu.nl> Date: 25 Apr 89 10:43:01 GMT Organization: VU Economics, Amsterdam, the Netherlands Lines: 13 Recently, some of my friends and I are having trouble with files that are written/read back to and from disk. Sometimes it works fine, sometimes the files are causing 'read/write errors'. When you examine the sectors, they are OK. The word on the street is that a linker virus is going around, attaching itself to files, within files, etc. All the viruses I know are bootblock based, and I do not think the virus will display a message, so it will be hard to detect. If you know more about this, or know a byte-sequence to look for, please post it! Thanks in advance.
