No comment on the LUCAS fix (I never tried it) but (come on you knew there had to be one, right?).... Some Amiga 1000's seem to have slow 68000's and ive found switching to a faster (or faster 010) helps in those cases. That "non-existent" memory card does exist and it also works! Even with an Insider if you set the memory to 800000. Just find a 1/2 meg board from a 'German' 2000 - install the proper connector on the solder side and plug it in.
