Here is the problem. We are using a CMI 6426S 20 meg hard disk, an Adaptek 4000A controller, and an Apple SCSI card (Rev. C). We hooked it up using a combonation of purchased and built cables (the cables I built were tested for good connections first). The drive powers up fine, but when we tried to do some low-level formatting, we got a PRODOS ERROR 27. Any suggestions? Could it be that since the drive is BRAND NEW, and that the article in A+ said that you might not be able to do any low level formatting with an Apple II series, that this is the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, =cf=
