Not because the >system can' handle it, this is done to reduce the money that is spent on >phone bills or whatever. There is a direct gateway between BITNET and CA. BITNET is leased lines (not phone bills) and I believe CA is also. It strikes me that the policy is faulty if it reduces you to using World-wide resources to respond to individuals. Not only is there no actual savings, the added cost to others is, in aggregate, of a magnitude that I'd expect the USENET administration to delete UCalgary from the feed if they realized the implication (I hope someone reading this note on USENET knows where to send a query on that very issue). <==== !!! >I would have sent you this via E-Mail but i can't.... Is my memory at fault, or did you not get on the mailing list in the first place by sending me an email request to be added? >And yes, i have had program run on the first try, Have you????? 1) usually, but then if I need a messy program I find it more economical to purchase someone else's work. 2) sorry aobout that - poor attempt at being droll - I'd swear I've had email from you once-upon-a-time (I should know that given the volume and variety of my mail, my memory isn't to be relied upon).
