With 3.0.6 I get strange hangups to the printer occasionally when running programs under their shell. I have never had any problems running the same programs directly from GEM. They come from the MW db program as well as some that I have written. The nature of it is that when you issue a write command to a printer, it just hangs for a while like something is going out but nothing ever shows up at the printer. This is very intermittent and I can never recall it happenning with the 2.3 version I have. Has anyone else had this problem. I understand MWC is up to 3.0.9 now. Is this fixed in that version? Also the atof() function in MWC will return 0 if the string starts with a blank. This is in spite of an explicit statement to the contrary in the documentation. Fortunately, it is easy to get around.
